Apple is once again reported to be bringing its tetraprism camera with up to 5x optical zoom to both the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max this year, a feature that has widely been rumored to be coming to the 6.

It’s fair to say that when we’re talking about the best phones on the market, the camera plays a big part. For many, it’s the only camera they own, so it has to be adept at covering all kinds of photo and video needs.

Apple’s future roadmap for wearables may include AI-powered smart glasses, as well as AirPods with cameras, according to Mark Gurman in today’s Power On newsletter for Bloomberg. Both concepts are in the exploratory phase inside Apple, representing more of a look at the company’s future plans than discreet products.

The feature makes the space surrounding the front camera and Face ID sensors useful compared to the notch on older iPhone models.
