Aqara has launched the Camera E1, a smart home camera that comes with a 2K sensor and Apple HomeKit support. Priced at just $59.99, the Camera E1 offers a wide-angle lens, night vision, and compatibility with third-party platforms like Amazon Alexa and Google Home.

I’ve reviewed a number of Arlo’s smart home cameras in the past, and have found them to be one of the best security camera brands. We also know from experience at Digital Camera World that, around Black Friday, a lot of attention is put on smart security cameras – especially from Ring and Blink that, dare we suggest it, have the advantage of being Amazon-owned brands.

Amazon is currently offering a discount on the ecobee Smart Video Doorbell Camera, which is the first price cut for this product. It is now available for $139.99, down from the regular price of $160.

MyQ, the smart garage door opener by Chamberlain, has been in the news recently for discontinuing its support for HomeKit and Google Home. Now, the company has announced that it is purposefully blocking all API access, which means plugins like HomeBridge are no longer functional.
