Apple Testing Punch Hole Display For iPhone 16 Pro To Replace Dynamic Island

Apple is reportedly testing a punch hole front camera display for the iPhone 16 Pro, which would replace the Dynamic Island design that was introduced on the iPhone 14 Pro models and is also found on the iPhone 15 series. The punch hole display may appear as soon as the iPhone 17 series. Apple is expected to release four iPhones in 2024 - iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. The punch hole design is being tested on the iPhone 16 Pro model, and an image render of how it could look has been shared by tipster Majin Bu. The Dynamic Island design is a pill-shaped cutout on top of the iPhone display that holds the front camera. It is designed to be interactive and can display notifications. It is uncertain if the punch hole display will actually make it to the final product, as not all features in development do. Apple has not confirmed anything regarding this.
