Apple Raises iCloud+ Storage Prices in Multiple Countries
Apple has increased iCloud+ storage prices in several countries, including Japan, South Korea, and Turkey, citing currency fluctuations as the primary cause.
Apple has raised the prices of its iCloud+ storage plans in several countries, including Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, Turkey, Pakistan, Nigeria, Egypt, Tanzania, and the Philippines. The price increases, which range up to 15% in Japan, come as many of the affected nations have seen their local currencies decline against the U.S. dollar in recent years. In contrast, iCloud+ prices in the U.S. have remained unchanged this year.
The iCloud+ service offers additional storage options beyond the standard 5GB of free iCloud space, with three subscription tiers available. The 50GB plan provides features like iCloud Private Relay, Hide My Email, and HomeKit Secure Video support for one camera. The 200GB tier expands these features to include support for up to five cameras, while the 2TB, 6TB, or 12TB plans allow for unlimited camera support. These plans also offer a custom email domain and the ability to share with up to five family members.
