Apple reportedly considering developing camera sensors internally

Apple is rumored to be considering designing its own camera sensors for future iPhones, a move that would give the company more control over the camera capabilities and image processing. In recent years, Apple has been bringing more of its component design work in-house, relying less on third-party suppliers. Mark Gurman, in his “Power On” newsletter for Bloomberg, suggests that Apple is looking to develop an “in-house strategy” for camera sensor design. Photography has long been a selling point for iPhones, and this move would allow Apple to further enhance the camera performance and integrate it more seamlessly with its software.
