Apple to Launch Smart Home Camera and Health-Focused AirPods by 2026
Apple is reportedly planning a smart home camera and new AirPods with enhanced health tracking features, set for release in the next few years.
Apple’s supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has revealed details about two new products that the tech giant plans to introduce in the coming years: a smart home camera and future AirPods models with expanded health management capabilities.
According to Kuo, mass production of Apple’s smart home camera is scheduled to begin in 2026. The camera will feature wireless connectivity and integrate deeply with Apple Intelligence and Siri, allowing for enhanced smart home automation. While Kuo did not disclose additional specifics, previous reports hinted that Apple is also developing a smart home display expected to arrive by 2025, suggesting that the 2026 camera is a separate product in the company’s lineup.
In addition, Apple is reportedly planning to upgrade its AirPods with more advanced health-tracking features akin to those found in the Apple Watch. These new features could include capabilities like heart rate monitoring and possibly even body temperature measurements, though specific details are yet to be confirmed. The Chinese manufacturer Goertek is set to be the main supplier for the 2026 AirPods model, as well as the new smart home camera, according to Kuo.
There have also been indications that Apple is exploring the inclusion of health sensors in upcoming devices, with the next iteration of Powerbeats Pro rumored to feature heart rate monitoring during workouts. This aligns with Apple’s broader focus on integrating health and wellness into its product ecosystem, paving the way for AirPods to expand beyond audio into personal health management.
