Apple's Plans to Introduce an Affordable iPad in 2024 | Get the Inside Scoop
Apple is reportedly planning to launch a new entry-level iPad in 2024. However, the release date is expected to be in the second half of the year. Apple is said to be working with China’s BYD, a key iPad assembler, to develop the new product introduction (NPI) resources in Vietnam. This collaboration includes the engineering verification and design of the new iPad model, with the blueprints being feasible. The upcoming low-cost iPad is expected to be priced around USD 449. It will feature a complete redesign, a larger display, USB-C port, a 12-megapixel camera, and the A14 Bionic chip. Apple also has plans to manufacture over 50 million iPhones in India per year and aims to shift production away from the Chinese market. The company aims to achieve this within the next two to three years, with India accounting for a quarter of global iPhone production. China, however, will remain the largest iPhone producer.
