Apple could develop in-house teams for designing camera sensors

Apple is rumored to be designing its own camera sensors for future iPhones, allowing for more control over the device’s photography capabilities. The company has been gradually bringing more of its component design work in-house, and cameras could be the next focus. According to Mark Gurman’s newsletter for Bloomberg, Apple is exploring an “in-house strategy” for camera sensor design. The company sees photography as a major selling point for iPhones, and bringing the design process in-house would allow for improvements in functionality and better integration with Apple’s software.
