Apple's Leaked Plans Reveal Possible Under-Display Camera for iPhone 19

Apple is reportedly developing under-display cameras for future iPhones, with the iPhone 19 likely to be the first device to feature this technology. The company’s Korean suppliers, including LG Innotek, are said to be working on a camera type that will be hidden under the screen, eliminating the notch or hole on the display. LG Innotek is developing a special lens called ‘Preform Optics’ to address the challenges of under-display cameras, such as reduced light intake and lower image quality. While phones with under-display cameras are already available from other brands, such as ZTE and Samsung, Apple’s implementation is not expected until the launch of the iPhone 19 in 2027.
