Anker’s Eufy Launches Indoor Cam E30 with HomeKit Support and 4K Video
Eufy surprises users with a new HomeKit-compatible 4K indoor security camera after years of limited support.
Anker’s Eufy has made a surprising move by unveiling its second HomeKit-compatible security camera in just a few months. The new Eufy Indoor Cam E30, priced at $69.99, comes packed with advanced features, including 4K video resolution, smart tracking, and multi-platform compatibility with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Apple HomeKit. Prime members can purchase the camera at a discounted rate of $59.99 for a limited time.
The release follows Eufy’s re-entry into HomeKit support last September with the S3 Pro Outdoor Cam. The Indoor Cam E30 builds upon Eufy’s older Indoor Cam 2K Pan and Tilt released in 2020, offering significant improvements such as a jump to 4K video quality. However, users relying on HomeKit will see video resolution capped at 1080p due to platform limitations.
One standout feature of the Indoor Cam E30 is its integrated spotlight, which enhances night-time video capabilities by enabling color night vision. For scenarios where light is insufficient, the camera seamlessly switches to infrared night vision. On-board AI processing allows the device to identify and track people, pets, and other movements within its field of view, while also detecting notable audio cues such as crying babies. The pan-tilt-zoom functionality enables automatic tracking, ensuring subjects remain in the frame as they move around.
The camera also includes two-way audio for real-time communication, enabling users to speak with people or pets remotely. For storage, the Indoor Cam E30 supports local video recording via SD cards, eliminating the need for a subscription. It can also integrate with Eufy’s HomeBase S380, a wireless base station offering up to 16TB of storage and advanced “BionicMind AI” facial recognition capabilities.
For users who prefer cloud storage, Eufy offers subscription plans starting at $2.99 per month or $29.99 annually for 30 days of video history on a single camera. A higher-tier “Eufy Plus” plan supports up to 10 cameras for $9.99 per month or $99.99 annually.
With its combination of smart tracking, 4K video quality, and versatile storage options, the Indoor Cam E30 represents Eufy’s renewed commitment to the HomeKit ecosystem. A full review of the camera will be released once sample units are tested.
