Eufy Unveils Indoor Cam E30 with 4K Recording and AI Features
Eufy’s new Indoor Cam E30 offers 4K video, spotlight color night vision, and AI-powered tracking.
Eufy has introduced its latest security camera, the Indoor Cam E30, an upgrade to its earlier 2020 model. The new camera supports 4K video recording and comes equipped with a spotlight for color night vision capabilities. It is now available for $69.99.
Designed for versatile room monitoring, the Indoor Cam E30 features 360-degree horizontal rotation and 75-degree vertical panning, covering an entire space. It integrates on-device AI to detect humans, pets, and even specific audio cues like an infant crying, with motion tracking to keep subjects in frame. Manual control of the camera is possible, but only through the Eufy mobile app, as Apple Home does not support this feature.
The camera is compatible with Apple HomeKit, including HomeKit Secure Video for saving footage to iCloud. However, this requires an iCloud Plus subscription, limiting streaming resolution to 1080p. For those preferring a subscription-free option, the Indoor Cam E30 offers a microSD card slot for local storage, which enables 4K footage streaming via the Eufy app. Users needing expanded storage can connect the camera to Eufy’s HomeBase S380, priced at $149.99, which supports up to 16TB of storage capacity. Eufy has also addressed the privacy concerns that arose in 2022.
Two-way audio functionality allows remote communication, perfect for situations like scolding pets while away. The built-in spotlight enhances nighttime visibility by providing color footage, though it reduces the night vision range to 16.4 feet. Alternatively, using infrared lights extends visibility to over 32 feet, albeit in black and white.
With its combination of 4K video recording, intelligent AI features, and flexible storage options, the Indoor Cam E30 aims to provide a robust and user-friendly indoor security solution for modern households.
