Eufy Launches Indoor Cam E30: A 4K Security Camera with HomeKit Support
Eufy debuts its second HomeKit-compatible security camera featuring 4K video, color night vision, and pan-and-tilt functionality.
Eufy has introduced its new Indoor Cam E30, a 4K UHD smart security camera priced at $69.99, expanding its HomeKit-compatible ecosystem. The latest launch follows the September release of the S3 Pro Outdoor Cam and offers advanced monitoring features, including motorized 360-degree pan-and-tilt functionality and color night vision.
The Eufy Indoor Cam E30 records at 4K resolution, delivering crisp security footage. However, Apple HomeKit users will experience a capped 1080p video stream due to HomeKit app limitations. For full 4K viewing, users must access the camera via the official Eufy app. The camera’s motorized system enables a 360-degree horizontal rotation and a 75-degree vertical tilt, ensuring comprehensive coverage of indoor spaces. Its smart tracking capability further enhances this functionality by automatically following moving subjects, keeping them within the camera’s view. Notably, manual camera adjustments are only supported within the Eufy app.
To bolster night-time performance, Eufy integrated a spotlight that enables color night vision with a 16.4-foot range. Users can also switch to traditional black-and-white infrared night vision, which extends visibility to over 32 feet. In addition to visual capabilities, the E30 features two-way audio, allowing real-time communication between users and anyone near the camera, including pets or family members.
For Apple users, the E30 supports HomeKit Secure Video, providing encrypted cloud storage via iCloud and offering privacy-focused operation. On-device AI detection ensures footage remains private, never reaching Eufy’s servers. However, utilizing HomeKit Secure Video requires an iCloud Plus subscription.
The Indoor Cam E30’s AI system has also been upgraded, offering improved detection that can distinguish between humans and pets while recognizing specific audio cues like a crying baby. These features are processed directly on the device, ensuring quick responses and added privacy.
When it comes to storage, the camera supports multiple options. Users can insert a microSD card for local storage, avoiding subscription fees altogether. Alternatively, the E30 integrates with Eufy’s HomeBase S380, allowing expanded local storage of up to 16TB. For cloud-based solutions, Eufy offers subscription plans starting at $2.99 per month for a single camera, with a premium tier covering up to 10 cameras at $9.99 monthly.
The Eufy Indoor Cam E30 is currently available for purchase on Eufy’s official website at $69.99, with limited promotional discounts bringing the price down to $59.99 for Amazon Prime members.
