Eufy Unveils 4K Indoor Cam E30 with HomeKit Support
Eufy introduces its Indoor Cam E30 with 4K video, color night vision, and advanced mobility at an affordable price.
Eufy has expanded its smart home security lineup with the launch of the Indoor Cam E30, a 4K security camera priced at $69.99. This marks the brand’s second HomeKit-compatible camera release in recent months, following the S3 Pro Outdoor Cam launched in September. The new Indoor Cam E30 introduces significant upgrades, including advanced pan-and-tilt mobility and color night vision capabilities.
The camera delivers 4K UHD resolution for crisp video quality, but HomeKit users should note that streams will be limited to 1080p when accessed through the Apple Home app due to platform restrictions. To unlock the full 4K resolution, users must utilize the official Eufy app.
A standout feature of the Indoor Cam E30 is its motorized pan-and-tilt system, offering a 360-degree horizontal rotation and a 75-degree vertical tilt. The smart tracking function enhances usability by allowing the camera to automatically follow moving subjects to keep them in focus. Manual adjustments, however, are only supported via the Eufy app and not through Apple Home.
To enhance low-light monitoring, the camera incorporates an integrated spotlight, enabling color night vision within a 16.4-foot range. Alternatively, users can switch to traditional infrared black-and-white night vision, which extends visibility up to 32 feet.
The E30 supports HomeKit Secure Video, ensuring encrypted storage via iCloud and private on-device detection, which prevents data from being sent to Eufy’s servers. However, this feature requires an iCloud Plus subscription for activation. The AI-powered detection system has also been refined, allowing the camera to distinguish between humans and pets and recognize specific audio cues like a baby’s cry.
For storage, the Eufy Indoor Cam E30 offers multiple options. Users can opt for local storage via a microSD card slot, eliminating the need for ongoing subscription costs. For expanded storage capabilities, the camera can be connected to Eufy’s HomeBase S380, supporting up to 16TB of storage. Eufy also provides cloud storage plans, starting at $2.99 per month for a single camera, or $9.99 monthly for up to ten cameras.
The Eufy Indoor Cam E30 is available for purchase at $69.99 directly through Eufy’s website. For Amazon Prime members, the camera is currently offered at a discounted price of $59.99.
With its affordable price point, robust 4K video capabilities, and versatile storage options, the Eufy Indoor Cam E30 presents an appealing option for those seeking smart home security upgrades. While Apple HomeKit users face some limitations, Eufy’s app ensures full access to the camera’s advanced features.
