iPhone gets access to document scanning feature on Google Drive

Google Drive’s document scanning feature is now available on iPhone. According to Google, the scanner now has a dedicated button in the lower right corner and an automatic capture feature. The camera viewfinder helps position the document for the best scan, and there’s an option to import documents from the camera roll. The scanner can be accessed through the Drive app by tapping the new camera button or the “+” icon and hitting Scan. Multiple pages can be scanned in one session, and filters or cropping can be applied after scanning. The feature will become available to all users within three days of November 28. Apple has a similar feature built into Notes, but Google’s scanning option might be better for those who prefer to keep their scanned documents in Google Drive.
