Breaking News: iOS 17.2 Release Imminent, 2024 to Introduce Latest iPads, and Other Notable Updates
Apple is expected to release iOS 17.2 next week, which will bring a number of new features and improvements to the iPhone. Some of the new features include a Journal app, spatial video recording on iPhone 15 Pro models, improvements to the Messages and Weather apps, and a Favorite Songs playlist in Apple Music.
In early 2024, Apple is rumored to launch two new iPad Air models and update the iPad Pro lineup with OLED displays. The iPad mini and entry-level iPad are expected to be updated later in the year.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman also predicts that updated 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models with the M3 chip will be released around March 2024. Apple recently released 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with M3 chips.
According to Apple supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 16 models, expected to launch in September 2024, will feature an upgraded microphone for improved Siri AI experience.
LG Innotek, an Apple supplier, has started developing an under-display camera that could lead to an all-screen iPhone in the future. This could potentially happen with the launch of the iPhone 17 Pro in 2025.
