iPhone 16 Camera Control Offers Versatile App Integration

New features let users customize the Camera Control to open third-party apps or disable it entirely.

Apple’s iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro introduce a new level of flexibility with the Camera Control feature, allowing users to customize its function beyond the default Camera app. This enhancement reflects Apple’s ongoing effort to provide personalized experiences for users.

The Camera Control can now be configured to open various applications, including Apple’s Code Scanner and Magnifier, or even third-party camera apps of the user’s choice. For those who prefer minimalism, the option to disable the function entirely is also available.

How to Set Up Camera Control:

  1. Open the Settings app and navigate to Camera.
  2. Select Camera Control.
  3. Choose one of the following options:
    • Camera: Launches the built-in Camera app.
    • Code Scanner: Opens a QR code scanning tool.
    • Magnifier: Activates the Magnifier app for accessibility.
    • None: Disables the Camera Control from launching any app.

This new feature highlights Apple’s commitment to offering intuitive and adaptable solutions for its global user base, enabling seamless access to both built-in and third-party tools.
