Apple Introduces Lock Focus and Exposure Feature for iPhone 16 Camera
iPhone 16’s Camera Control button now supports locking focus and exposure, enhancing photo-taking capabilities
Apple has expanded the functionality of the Camera Control button in the latest iOS 18.2 beta for the iPhone 16, allowing users to lock both focus and exposure. This enhancement, spotted by 9to5Mac, enables users to press and hold the Camera Control button to maintain fixed focus and exposure settings for precise photography. Previously, the button was limited to quick adjustments and photo snapping without the capability to lock these settings.
This improvement in camera control is expected to provide iPhone 16 users with greater flexibility and creative control, allowing for more consistent photo quality in varied lighting conditions. The update represents Apple’s continuous effort to refine the iPhone’s camera capabilities, catering to both casual and advanced photographers.
