Apple set to release iPhone 16 Pro with tetraprism camera: Get all the latest information
Apple Inc is rumored to launch the iPhone 16 Pro with a tetraprism (periscope) 120 mm camera in 2024. This addition is expected to drive demand for the device, according to leading analyst Ming-Chi Kuo from TF International Securities. Kuo predicts a 160% year-on-year growth for iPhone devices with this camera in 2024. Largan, a known manufacturer of smartphone camera lenses, is also the exclusive supplier of the tetraprism camera lens for the existing iPhone 15 Pro Max. The tetraprism camera lens bends the light path four times before hitting the sensor, resulting in significant improvement in camera results. Largan is the primary supplier of tetraprism lenses for Apple, with supply shares of 85 to 90 percent.
In addition to the iPhone 16 Pro, Kuo also predicts that Apple will be upgrading its entire lineup of iPads in 2024. A new larger 12.9-inch iPad Air and a 10.9-inch model are expected to be released soon. Apple will update all existing models, starting with a refreshed 10.9-inch and new 12.9-inch iPad Air with new chips, which will go into mass production in the first quarter of 2024.
