Inventor Creates iPhone 16 Pro Max Case That Doubles as a Digital Camera

Matty Benedetto designs a multi-layer iPhone case resembling a digital camera, blending tech and creativity.

Matty Benedetto, the inventor behind Unnecessary Inventions, has once again merged creativity with technology by designing a unique iPhone 16 Pro Max case. This innovative case doubles as an additional digital camera, bringing an unconventional twist to smartphone accessories.

To create this one-of-a-kind product, Benedetto used several Ultimaxx Essential Kids Digital Cameras, disassembling at least one to integrate its components into a custom 3D-printed case. The result is a multi-layer enclosure that mimics the appearance of a digital camera on the back while maintaining the sleek look of a smartphone from the front.

The project has sparked a range of reactions. One commenter noted their experience with the Ultimaxx camera, describing it as a basic yet durable option for young children. “We bought that camera for my daughter when she was 5, and she’s taken it everywhere over the years. It’s a terrible camera in terms of features—no zoom, focus, or controls—but perfect for a child. At its price point, you don’t worry about damage or loss,” they shared.

Matty Benedetto’s work continues to attract attention for blending practicality with humor, offering intriguing yet unconventional solutions to everyday tech needs.
