Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max and iPhone 16 Pro: Everything We Know About their Large Screens
iPhone 16 Pro is expected to get the iPhone 15 Pro Max-like camera for zoom. Apple is reportedly planning to bring the rumoured iPhone 16 series with major design changes in September 2024. A recent report suggests that the iPhone 16 Pro models will have notably larger display sizes than the current iPhone 15 Pro models.
According to MacRumors sources, the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are expected to sport larger displays compared to their predecessors, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The display sizes are expected to be around 6.3 inches for the iPhone 16 Pro and 6.9 inches for the iPhone 16 Pro Max.
The upcoming iPhone 16 Pro is slated to boast a 6.27-inch display, whereas the iPhone 16 Pro Max is expected to flaunt a larger 6.85-inch screen. The report also mentioned that the screen size will lead to an increase in the overall dimensions of the iPhone’s body. The iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max are expected to be slightly taller and wider compared to their predecessors.
“The larger form factor of the devices will give Apple more internal space for components. The iPhone 16 Pro models could get larger, longer-lasting batteries for example,” MacRumors reported.
The upcoming iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are said to maintain the same dimensions as the existing iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. However, in 2025, with the release of the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Plus, Apple is likely to introduce larger display sizes of 6.27 inches and 6.86 inches to both standard iPhone models, the report said.
The Cupertino-based tech giant Apple is also planning a design change for the standard iPhone 16 models, potentially reverting to the vertical camera layout seen in the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini. Additionally, the iPhone 16 Pro Max might be the first to have a super telephoto periscope camera, offering significantly increased optical zoom.
