The likelihood of the iPhone 16 Pro adopting the excellent camera of the iPhone 15 Pro Max appears to be increasing

Multiple sources have claimed that the iPhone 16 Pro will feature a 5x optical zoom camera, similar to the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Ming-Chi Kuo, a well-known Apple analyst, has reiterated this claim and suggested that the iPhone 16 Pro will include a tetraprism camera design. The tetraprism design allows for longer range optical zoom by reflecting light four times. The size of the camera may have been a limitation for the iPhone 15 Pro, but the iPhone 16 Pro could potentially accommodate it with a slightly larger screen. Additionally, improvements in production yield by lens supplier Largan make it more likely for the iPhone 16 Pro to have this camera upgrade. Other analysts have also supported the claim of the iPhone 16 Pro featuring the 5x zoom camera. However, it is still uncertain whether the iPhone 16 Pro will match the zoom capabilities of the iPhone 16 Pro Max. Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 16 Pro in September.
