Rumored Leak: iPhone 16 Pro Specs Include 48MP Ultra Wide Camera
A Weibo leaker claims that the iPhone 16 Pro may feature an upgraded Ultra Wide camera with a 48-megapixel sensor. The leaker suggests that the iPhone 16 Pro models in 2024 will be the first to have more than one 48-megapixel sensor, with the Telephoto camera being the only rear-facing lens with a 12-megapixel resolution. This upgrade is expected to improve low-light photography and allow for 48-megapixel ProRAW photos in Ultra Wide mode, offering more editing flexibility and better results when printed at large sizes.
In addition to the camera upgrade rumor, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has mentioned that the upcoming iPhone 16 models may include a Capture Button for recording video. The button is said to have haptic feedback and a force sensor that recognizes pressure. Pressing and holding the button could launch the camera and start video recording, while different levels of pressure could activate the camera for taking photos or videos. It’s important to note that the iPhone 16 is not set to be unveiled until next September, so these features may still change as development progresses.
