All-New iPhone 17 Air Rumored to Feature 48MP Camera, 8GB RAM, and Redesigned Look

Reports suggest the upcoming iPhone 17 Air will be thinner, equipped with a 48MP rear camera, and replace the Plus model.

Apple is reportedly planning a major redesign for the iPhone 17 model, expected to be released in September 2025. Rumored to be called the “iPhone 17 Air,” this new device will feature a sleeker, significantly thinner design. Multiple sources, including renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, have suggested it will have a 6.6-inch display, an A19 chip, and a single 48-megapixel rear camera. Analyst Jeff Pu also supports these claims, adding that the phone will come with 8GB of RAM, a 24-megapixel front camera, and a 5G modem designed by Apple.

The iPhone 17 Air is expected to replace the current Plus model in Apple’s lineup, signaling a shift in the mid-tier iPhone range. While still months away from launch, the iPhone 17 Air is likely to see some changes before its official unveiling, but its thinner, more streamlined design is widely agreed upon.

Apple enthusiasts are also looking at current issues affecting iPhone 16 models, where users are experiencing unexplained battery drains. This has raised some concerns among customers, though no such problems are currently expected for the upcoming iPhone 17.

In related news, Apple has recently refreshed its iPad mini with an A17 Pro chip and continues to innovate its product line. With further announcements expected, the tech giant is preparing for a busy few years as new features, including Apple Intelligence integration, are being gradually rolled out across devices.
