Apple's iPhone Computational Photography Shines Despite Failed Panoramic Shot Controversy

The recent ‘glitch’ in the iPhone’s computational photography turned out to be a failed panoramic shot, as discovered by YouTube channel iPhonedo. Instagram user Tessa Coates uploaded a photo that showed three instances of a scene in a single image, but it was revealed that the photo was taken using the panoramic mode on the iPhone 12. The camera stitched together multiple frames, resulting in the appearance of three different hand gestures. The resolution of the photo was also not consistent with the standard photo resolution on the iPhone 12. It was confirmed that the iPhone’s computational photography was not at fault for the failed panoramic shot.
