5 Essential iPhone Photography Hacks for Beginners

Taking manual control over your iPhone’s flash is a useful photography tip. By swiping up on the viewfinder screen while capturing a picture or video, you can access the flash options: Auto, On, and Flash Off. Selecting On will provide extra light in the picture, while Flash Off deactivates the flash. It’s important to note that the flash is most effective for subjects closer to you, but it may not work well for landscape shots or poorly lit subjects.

To overcome low light situations, iPhone’s Night Mode can be enabled. Night Mode decreases the shutter speed, allowing the image sensor to capture more light and produce well-exposed images even in the dark. This feature is particularly useful for astrophotography as well. To enable Night Mode, swipe up on the viewfinder and select the moon-shaped icon. Then, you can choose the shutter speed from options like Auto or Max, depending on the darkness of the scene.
