iPhone SE 4 to Feature 48MP Camera with Fusion Tech and A18 Chip

The upcoming iPhone SE 4 is expected to pack a 48MP main camera, Apple A18 chipset, and advanced AI features, all at an affordable price.

The iPhone SE 4 is quickly becoming one of the most anticipated Apple releases for 2025, thanks to its rumored blend of high-end hardware and software features, all at a much more affordable price point of ₹50,000 to ₹60,000 in India. As the launch date draws nearer, a new report sheds light on the camera system of the upcoming device, which will likely impress users with its capabilities.

According to a report from South Korea’s ET News, the iPhone SE 4 will come equipped with a 48MP primary camera, alongside a 12MP selfie camera. While many might expect a single-camera setup to limit its performance, the device could still offer a surprisingly versatile shooting experience.

One of the standout features of the iPhone SE 4’s camera will be its use of Fusion Camera technology, which is currently available on the iPhone 16. This technology enables users to capture images at around 2x zoom, offering optical-quality photos even without a dedicated telephoto lens. If Apple carries this technology over to the iPhone SE 4, users can expect excellent image quality despite the absence of multiple lenses.

The iPhone 16’s Fusion Camera, already proven on the Pro and standard models, provides optical-quality zoom shots that closely resemble those captured with a true telephoto lens. This could be a game-changer for the SE 4, especially since it will maintain a more affordable price point. However, it’s important to note that the iPhone SE 4 may not feature an ultra-wide lens, which could be a trade-off for the powerful primary shooter.

In terms of performance, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to be powered by Apple’s A18 chipset, bringing cutting-edge AI capabilities to the device. This would make the SE 4 the most affordable iPhone to offer Apple’s AI features, a significant draw for users interested in advanced smartphone intelligence.

Other expected features include 8GB of RAM and an OLED display, both of which will enhance the overall experience. Design-wise, the iPhone SE 4 is likely to resemble the iPhone 14 and iPhone 15, with a design similar to the iPhone 16 but without the Dynamic Island and sporting a single-camera setup.

The iPhone SE 4 is slated for release sometime in spring 2025, with many speculating that Apple could unveil the device during WWDC 2024. As the launch date approaches, more details are sure to surface, but based on current reports, the iPhone SE 4 promises to be an exciting addition to Apple’s lineup, blending premium features with a more budget-friendly price tag.
