Apple's Upcoming iPhone SE 4: Powerful Features at a Budget Price

Expected in March 2025, Apple’s iPhone SE 4 might redefine affordable smartphones with advanced specs and a competitive price.

Apple’s highly anticipated iPhone SE 4, which is expected to launch in March 2025, is set to shake up the budget smartphone market. With a projected price between $499 and $549, this model may deliver flagship-level performance at an affordable cost. Rumors suggest that the phone will be powered by Apple’s cutting-edge A18 chip and feature a high-performance 48MP rear camera.

One of the standout features of the iPhone SE 4 is the inclusion of Apple’s custom 5G modem, codenamed “Centauri,” marking a significant internal upgrade for this budget model. The display will also see improvements, with a 6.06-inch LTPS OLED screen boasting a resolution of 2,532 x 1,170 pixels and a peak brightness of 800 nits. The iPhone SE 4 is rumored to use the M11 material, previously found in the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus, offering enhanced durability with a Ceramic Shield coating.

Internally, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to be equipped with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM, ensuring smooth performance alongside the A18 processor. This setup will support Apple Intelligence, further elevating the user experience by leveraging artificial intelligence-driven features. The phone’s camera will likely include a 12MP front-facing camera and a single 48MP Sony Exmor IMX904 rear sensor, though details on its video recording capabilities remain under wraps.

Another notable improvement is the battery capacity. The iPhone SE 4 is rumored to feature a 3,279mAh battery, a 62.5% increase over the iPhone SE 3’s 2,018mAh capacity. With dimensions of 146.7 x 71.5 x 7.8mm, the device remains sleek despite the battery upgrade. Charging options are expected to include 20W wired charging and 15W wireless charging via Qi2 and MagSafe, alongside additional features like Face ID and IP68 water and dust resistance.

With these specs, the iPhone SE 4 could easily be compared to the iPhone 16, offering similar hardware at a lower price. If these rumors hold, the iPhone SE 4 has the potential to become one of Apple’s best-selling models to date, setting a new standard for budget smartphones.
