Apple Launches Free Repair Program for iPhone 14 Plus Camera Issue

Apple addresses a camera issue affecting some iPhone 14 Plus units with a free repair program.

Apple has announced a repair program to address an issue affecting a small percentage of iPhone 14 Plus devices. According to the company, some units manufactured between April 10, 2023, and April 28, 2024, may experience a problem where the rear camera stops providing a preview.

To determine if an iPhone 14 Plus is eligible for a free repair, users can utilize Apple’s serial number checker tool. This can be done by going to Settings > General > About on the device, where the serial number can be copied by touching and holding it. The copied serial number can then be pasted into Apple’s repair program form to verify eligibility.

If a device qualifies for repair, affected customers have several options to get their iPhones fixed. They can visit an Apple Authorized Service Provider, schedule an appointment at an Apple Store, or arrange for mail-in service through the Apple Repair Center. The repair will be provided at no cost to the customer if their device falls within the affected serial number range.

This initiative is part of Apple’s ongoing commitment to maintaining product quality and ensuring customer satisfaction.
