Apple Launches Service Program for iPhone 14 Plus Camera Issue

Apple offers free repairs for certain iPhone 14 Plus units experiencing rear camera preview failures.

Apple has announced a new service program to address a problem affecting a limited number of iPhone 14 Plus devices, where the rear camera fails to show a preview. The company specifies that this issue impacts only a small percentage of phones manufactured between April 10, 2023, and April 28, 2024.

Owners of the iPhone 14 Plus can check if their device is eligible for the free repair by entering the serial number on Apple’s program page. If the device qualifies, Apple or an Authorized Service Provider will repair the phone at no cost. Additionally, Apple encourages those who have previously paid for similar camera repairs to inquire about a potential refund.

The service program will cover affected iPhone 14 Plus models for three years from their original sale date. Apple has a history of launching similar repair programs, such as initiatives for fixing receiver issues on the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro or addressing crackling sounds in AirPods Pro.
