iPhone 16 Pro Users Report Camera Crashes and Random Reboots

Users of the iPhone 16 Pro are experiencing issues such as camera crashes and random reboots, with no official fix yet.

Some iPhone 16 Pro users are reporting frustrating issues with their new devices. One Apple community member, RashmiDash, mentioned that his iPhone 16 Pro camera app crashes frequently, especially when opened via other apps like Photos. Initially, Apple responded to his complaints by stating the issue was isolated, but later acknowledged that it is more widespread. So far, no timeline for a fix has been provided, leaving RashmiDash stuck with a non-functioning device that’s only 20 days old.

Another iPhone 16 Pro Max user, King_SY, shared his experience of the phone restarting unexpectedly every one to two days. The device goes black before displaying the boot screen, requiring a password to unlock after restarting. Despite the release of iOS 18.0.1, this problem persists, as evidenced by more recent reports from other users. For instance, a subscriber named Cwark1 mentioned that his phone has rebooted 25 times since he purchased it on October 11, with most reboots happening overnight. Notifications only appear once the phone is unlocked after these random restarts.

Some users experiencing these issues were running the iOS 18.1 beta, while others were on the stable iOS 18.0.1 version. With no official fix yet, there is hope that Apple may address these problems before the December release of iOS 18.2.
