FilmConvert Nitrate and CineMatch Now Support iPhone 16 Pro

The iPhone 16 Pro gains compatibility with FilmConvert Nitrate and CineMatch, enabling film-like looks and seamless camera matching.

The iPhone 16 Pro and its Pro Max counterpart, released in September, continue to make waves with their advanced camera capabilities. Now, FilmConvert Nitrate and CineMatch have added support for the iPhone 16 Pro, offering filmmakers a chance to achieve a cinematic look and effortless color grading between different cameras.

FilmConvert Nitrate, known for emulating film stock and grain structures, provides users with tools to enhance footage with authentic film aesthetics. Meanwhile, CineMatch simplifies the process of matching color and tone across various camera footage, streamlining workflows for projects involving multiple cameras. This development means that content shot on the iPhone 16 Pro can now seamlessly integrate into professional workflows, alongside footage from traditional cameras like the Canon EOS R6 Mark III or DJI Ronin 4D.

The iPhone 16 Pro features impressive video capabilities, including Dolby Vision recording at up to 4K at 120 fps, as well as Apple Log and ProRes 422 HQ support via USB-C. These attributes make the device a strong choice for both A and B camera roles, especially with the added benefit of FilmConvert Nitrate tools enhancing its footage.

FilmConvert recently introduced Hazy, a feature that simulates the effects of mist filters to soften the sharpness and contrast of digital footage. This addition complements the existing toolset, which includes film grain, halation, and customizable film stock effects. Both FilmConvert Nitrate and CineMatch are compatible with major editing platforms, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, and Final Cut Pro.

Users can download the iPhone 16 Pro profile through FilmConvert Nitrate and CineMatch’s camera pack downloader. The tools are priced at $149 per supported platform or $225 for all platforms, with a limited-time Black Friday discount offering up to 40% off.

The integration of the iPhone 16 Pro into FilmConvert Nitrate and CineMatch underscores the growing recognition of smartphones in professional filmmaking. Whether used as a primary or supplementary camera, the iPhone 16 Pro now offers even greater versatility for creators aiming to produce high-quality, cinematic content.
