Leaked iPhone SE 4 Case Reveals Design Clues for Apple's Next Budget iPhone

The iPhone SE 4 is anticipated to be announced in early 2025, with recent leaks shedding light on its possible design. A leaked image, reportedly showing a case for the upcoming model, suggests that the exterior design may remain largely unchanged from the iPhone SE 3, released in 2022. Key elements such as the rear camera bump and the placement of buttons, including the mute switch and charging port, appear consistent with the previous model.

However, other reports suggest that the iPhone SE 4 will introduce significant changes by eliminating the Touch ID sensor and home button in favor of Face ID, aligning the device with the design language of the iPhone 14. These major design adjustments, though, are not reflected in the case leak alone.

Rumors also indicate that the iPhone SE 4 will feature a larger 6.1-inch display, a notable increase from the 4.7-inch screen of the previous model, along with the addition of the characteristic notch. This shift may disappoint users who prefer more compact phones.

Beyond design changes, the next-generation iPhone SE is expected to receive significant hardware upgrades. Speculation suggests the inclusion of the A18 chip, found in the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, as well as improved camera capabilities and a new 5G modem developed by Apple. This could result in faster cellular performance.

There are also hints that the iPhone SE 4 might come equipped with 8GB of RAM, enabling advanced AI features. Despite these enhancements, Apple is reportedly aiming to maintain a launch price comparable to the current iPhone SE model, set at $429 in the United States, £419 in the United Kingdom, and AU$719 in Australia.
