Apple Launches Next-Gen iMac with M4 Chip, Improved Camera, and USB-C Accessories
Apple unveils the M4 iMac, featuring enhanced performance, a 12MP Center Stage camera, and USB-C accessories.
Apple has officially introduced its latest generation of iMac, powered by the new M4 chip, delivering advanced performance for productivity and high-intensity tasks. The new iMac comes in a refreshed palette of colors, includes a 12MP Center Stage camera, and integrates Thunderbolt 4 support across all USB-C ports, enabling connectivity with various accessories and up to two 6K external displays.
The M4 iMac achieves up to 1.7 times faster processing for daily productivity tasks and up to 2.1 times faster speeds for resource-intensive workflows, such as photo editing and gaming, compared to the iMac with M1. Additionally, Apple offers a nano-texture glass option for reduced glare, enhancing image quality without sacrificing clarity.
Equipped with the 12MP Center Stage camera, the iMac enhances video calls with intelligent framing. Users will also benefit from comprehensive Thunderbolt 4 connectivity, making it easier to link external storage, docks, and other peripherals. Moreover, the iMac supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, delivering faster, more reliable connections.
In addition to the desktop, Apple introduces new USB-C accessories, including a keyboard, mouse, and trackpad, each color-matched to the iMac’s design.
Customers can pre-order the M4 iMac starting October 28 on Apple’s website and in the Apple Store app, with availability in 28 countries, including the U.S., and prices beginning at $1,299. The iMac will start arriving for customers and be available in Apple Store locations and at Apple Authorized Resellers on November 8.
