Spigen introduces its advanced conductive Camera Control button in the latest iPhone 16 Tough Armor T (Ai) case [Launch offer]
As we have previously detailed, Apple’s new iPhone 16 Camera Control button has drawn a line in sand among case options; either they have a cutout or a proper conductive button cover. There aren’t very many options out there, save for the official Apple and Beats cases, one OtterBox model, the Spigen Ultra Hybrid T we just went hands-on with and a couple others. But we have just spotted another design from Spigen receiving the Camera Control button treatment – the new Spigen Tough Armor T (Ai) MagFit. This case is available with just a cutout with launch deal at under $25, but there is also now a new “T” model with the same button we came away impressed with on the Ultra Hybrid.
Spigen expands its lineup of ‘T’ Camera Control cases
The new Camera Control-ready Spigen Tough Armor T (Ai) MagFit carries a $60 MSRP, but it more realistically is selling for $32.99 on Amazon with a 5% on-page coupon that drops it down even lower to $31.34 Prime shipped. Shipping is free for Prime members or in orders over $35.
While it is listed as “Temporarily out of stock” on the official Spigen Amazon storefront at the time of writing, this is just because we spotted the listing the second it went up – you can still score the case right now and it will ship as soon as it’s ready. We expect it to lose the out-of-stock status at any time now.
This is the same Tough Armor (Ai) case we featured with the launch of the rest of the non-Camera Control Spigen cases shortly after the debut of the iPhone 16. Those models start from $16 with early launch deals and join the iPod Classic-style designs from $22 as well as the aforementioned Ultra Hybrid T iPhone 16 Camera Control case that sells for $29.
Clearly, Spigen is asking for a touch more cash when it comes to its Camera Control cases, but we are still talking about cases that land in the sub-$35 category here. The real question is whether or not it will essentially double its existing lineup of iPhone 16 cases with “T” models that sport its special brand of conductive Camera Control covers.
Spigen Tough Armor T (Ai) MagFit features at a glance:
- Made from premium PC, TPU, and XRD Impact Foam for durability
- AI-enhanced XRD Foam placement for Military-Grade protection
- Touch-sensitive and capacitive button cover for seamless functionality
- All-new revamped design with built-in kickstand for hands-free viewing
- Compatible with wireless charging and MagSafe accessories
After getting a chance to go hands-on with the brand’s first “T” cover launch, I have to say, I was quite surprised at how well it works. I, for one reason or another, felt the initial third-party takes on the conductive button might not be very good, but I actually think the Spigen Camera Control button on the Ultra Hybrid model, at least in some ways, makes the button even easier to use than a naked iPhone 16. This is, perhaps, just a me thing, but you can read all about my experience in detail right here.
