Zoom silently arrives on Apple TV

The video conferencing app Zoom has quietly launched on Apple TV 4K, allowing users to conduct meetings via their television and an iPhone or iPad. This follows Apple’s announcement in June that FaceTime calls would be available on Apple TV 4K, with Zoom and Webex apps to follow later. The Zoom app for Apple TV has appeared in the App Store listing, with the requirement of a second-generation Apple TV 4K or later and the use of the Continuity Camera feature of the iPhone and iPad. Users can start or join meetings, view in-meeting chat, invite others, integrate with calendars, and use breakout rooms. While Zoom has a “for Home” section on its website, it does not mention Apple TV, and the company has not issued a press release or confirmation of the app’s release.
