Apple Expands Vision Pro Availability to South Korea and the UAE
Apple’s Vision Pro headset will launch in South Korea and the UAE on November 15, with pre-orders starting November 4.
Apple has announced that the Vision Pro headset will be available in South Korea and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) beginning on Friday, November 15. Pre-orders for both regions will start on Monday, November 4. In South Korea, orders will open at 10 a.m. local time, while in the UAE, pre-orders will begin at 5 a.m. local time. Apple’s websites for both countries now feature dedicated Vision Pro and visionOS 2 pages, offering detailed information for interested customers.
In South Korea, Apple will allow customers to book a 30-minute in-store demo session for the Vision Pro. This opportunity will provide a hands-on experience for users ahead of the official launch. Apple intends to share additional details regarding these demonstrations once pre-orders are underway.
The Vision Pro, initially released in the United States in February with a starting price of $3,499, has since expanded to Australia, Canada, France, Germany, the U.K., China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore in the months of June and July. With South Korea and the UAE now included, the device will be accessible in 12 regions worldwide.
Despite this growing availability, research firm IDC has projected that Vision Pro sales may total fewer than 500,000 units in 2024, reflecting the product’s high entry price. Apple CEO Tim Cook recently noted that the Vision Pro is currently targeted at early adopters due to its premium cost. “At $3,500, it’s not a mass-market product,” Cook explained. “It’s meant for those eager to experience future technology today. Thankfully, there are enough people interested in this vision to make it an exciting development for us.”
