watchOS 11.2 Introduces Video Pause Feature in Camera Remote App
Apple Watch users can now pause and restart video recordings with the updated Camera Remote app in watchOS 11.2.
Apple has introduced a notable update in watchOS 11.2, allowing users to pause and restart video recordings directly from the Camera Remote app on the Apple Watch. Previously, while the app allowed starting and stopping recordings, there was no option to pause. Now, users will find a pause button on the left side of the interface during video recording. Tapping it pauses the video, while tapping the red record button resumes it.
This update builds on a feature first introduced with iOS 18, where pausing video recordings became available in the iPhone’s native Camera app. The watchOS 11.2 update extends this functionality to the Apple Watch, enhancing integration between the devices.
In addition to the Camera Remote improvements, watchOS 11.2 introduces expanded support for tidal conditions and coastal location tracking in the Tides app for users in China. These enhancements reflect Apple’s commitment to refining regional-specific features.
watchOS 11.2 will be released alongside iOS 18.2 on Monday, bringing these updates to Apple users worldwide.
