The iPhone 16 series is expected to feature a dedicated button for taking videos, according to Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman. This button, rumored to be called the “Capture Button,” would be exclusive to the Pro lineup of the iPhone 16 series.

We recently got to see three pre-production prototypes of the upcoming iPhone 16 series, courtesy of MacRumors. Based on these renders, it’s safe to assume that Apple doesn’t plan to change the design too much but is probably contemplating changing up the camera module and adding another button to the side dedicated to launching the camera and working as the shutter switch.

In a move that signifies Apple’s unrelenting pursuit of pushing boundaries, the tech giant is reportedly planning an extensive upgrade to the telephoto camera capabilities in its forthcoming iPhone 17 Pro Max, slated for a late 2025 release.

Only a few days after the launch of the iPhone 15 series, leaks about the iPhone 16 have already started surfacing. However, there are now reports about changes coming to the iPhone 17 series, specifically in terms of its camera.

A leaker has posted camera details for the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro series. According to the leak, the iPhone 16 Pro series may come with a 48MP ultrawide camera, an upgrade from the 12MP sensor on the iPhone 15 line.

With the iPhone 15, Apple introduced Dynamic Island, replacing the long-derided notch. Dynamic Island is a small blacked-out area at the top of the screen that houses the Face ID cameras.
