In a recent research note, Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst at TF International and a long-time Apple tipster, revealed that Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro Max features innovative hybrid glass-plastic lenses. These lenses, named 1G3P, consist of one part glass and three parts plastic and are particularly notable in the tetraprism periscope camera, providing a 5x optical zoom.

The iPhone 15 Pro Max has introduced a 5x telephoto lens, which utilizes a new tetraprism lens design that bends light to create a longer distance between the main lens and the camera’s sensor.

One of the main changes rumored for the regular iPhone 16 models is a switch to a vertical camera alignment instead of the current diagonal alignment.
